United States Senate ratifies the Louisiana Purchase

October 20, 1803, the U.S. Senate ratifies the Louisiana Purchase for $15 Million dollars that roughly doubled the size of America at that time.  Also on this day in 1977, three members of the southern rock band Lynyrd Skynyrd die in a Mississippi plane crash.
Today in social studies:
7th grade- Students worked together on Chapter 1 review in class in preparation for Jeopardy review Thursday.
6th grade- Students started working cooperatively on the Greek & Roman Mythology bulletin board and also shared facts about the 16 Gods & Goddesses of their choice.
8th grade is gone to Eagle Bluff Environmental Learning Center
