Stock market crashes

Black Tuesday hits Wall Street as investors trade 16,410,030 shares on the New York Stock Exchange in a single day. Billions of dollars were lost, wiping out thousands of investors, and stock tickers ran hours behind because the machinery could not handle the tremendous volume of trading. In the aftermath of Black Tuesday, America and the rest of the industrialized world spiraled downward into the Great Depression.
  


Today in social studies:
7th grade- Turned in Road Trip USA Task #3 & began work on Chapter 2 Personalities/Historical Projects.
6th grade-  Edmodo review "how to" & class discussion on South Winneshiek CSD school expectations.  We covered courtesy, respect others & themselves & responsibility.
8th grade- CNN Student News video podcast, discussed the rising cost of college tuition in America, especially at state schools.  Also worked on the current events that is posted online for the students to view and write a 2 paragraph response.
